About Us

"The science of interpreting elections has a fancy name: psephology. A shorter, simpler and more accurate title for much election analysis is: fiction." David S. Broder; "Psephology Finds Only Voter Indifference"; Austin American Statesman (Texas); Sep 16, 1989.

PoliticalMojo.com is a free service which tracks and analyzes the buzz surrounding the main Presidential candidates for 2008.

We believe that the world of the web has changed: users know this, but the people who run campaigns and companies do not fully appreciate this. Therefore we hope that PoliticalMojo.com can show deeper insight into how user-generated content provides significant insight into issues that voters and consumers care about.

Unlike other blog reporting services, we offer insight into what people are saying. Two metrics we track on this site are:

  • How favorable (or unfavorable) are the blog and group posts regarding the candidate.
  • Whether these postings reflect feminine or masculine use of language in the way they are written.

We offer this information for free. The technology we use to do this is developing all the time, so please bear with us as we learn, respond and grow.

We hope you find useful information on PoliticalMojo. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of trends and data that we display. In the old days we might have said that our information is "For Your Amusement Only". It's free, and it's interesting. Enough said.
